The Story goes as ...

The portal between the living and the dead has always been opened. Only those with a strong soul could see both worlds. What you are holding is not just a toy that allows you to enter a Virtual Reality, no, this tool can also be used to enter the World of Souls. It is your call whether to use it for that purpose or not.

Human bodies live short. Extremely short in comparison to the souls that embody them. And where does that soul go when the body dies? Wherever it sences more souls. Each soul when separated by the body tries to find others and eventually they merge into a single entity. Usually that is not of a concern for the World of Living, but the issue appears when a lot of Negations combine instead.

What is a Negation? Oh, right. You’re the new guy.

Simply put - Negations are bad souls or as some would call them defective souls. During ones live we experience both good and bad things. Balncing out those is the job of the owner of the body where the soul is. IF a soul ends up with way more negative emotions or bad influences - it becomes corrupted and seeks to do the same to other souls. Why is that an issue for the living? Are you kidding? Do you even know how many people die in “dark alley streets” by drugs, murderers or even something worse? Do you think it’s a coincidence? It’s not! Negations when gathered together can affect the World of Living and force a human into doing bad things.

Our job as Soul Cleaners is to find those Negations and purge them. Don’t worry, the balance of souls will not crumble as long as people are born and that doesn’t seem like an issue. You just cleanse those Negations and that’s about it. If you have the power to enter the World of Souls - then you have enough power to battle those Negations as well.

2. The World of Souls - where players will be alone against the Negation that they need to defeat
